SUMMARY IN ENGLISH
Ozymandias is a sonnet written by Percy Bysshe Shelley who is a famous romantic poet . A traveller tells the poet that two huge stone legs stand in the desert . Near them on the sand lies a damaged stone head . The face is distinguished by a frown and a sneer which the sculptor carved on the features . On the pedestal are inscribed the words " My name is Ozymandias , king of kings : / Look on my works , ye Mighty , and despair ! " Around the huge fragments stretches the empty desert . The poem comprises emotions of a traveller , who imagines the story of ruins of a statue in a desert . The traveller expresses that the statue was broken ; two legs were standing without a body and head was half sunk in the sand . He also explains the expressions of the statue such as the " frown " and " sneer of cold command , " which indicates that the sculptor has made the statue to speak for itself . The lifeless statue has the name , Ozymandias , the kings of kings , on its pedestal . The name indicates the readers to look at the massive statue of the mighty king , but the ruined state means that nothing remains after one's death , even if he is a king . It shows the keen observation of the traveller on the one hand , and the artistic skills of a sculptor on the other .
سونیٹ ( Sonnet ) چو دالا ئٹر کی نظم کو کہتے ہیں جسکے دو حصے ہوتے ہیں پہلے حصے کو Octave کہتے ہیں جو آٹھ سطور پر مشتمل ہو تا ہے اور دوسر احصہ Sestet ہے جو کہ چھ سطور پر مشتمل ہو تا ہے ۔ اوزی میڈیاس بھی سونیٹ ( Sonnet ) ہے ۔ شیلی مصر کے ایک شهور تاریخی کر دار کے مجسمے کو ایک مسافر کی زبانی بیان کر تا ہے ۔ اس نظم کو بیان کرنے والا ایک مسافر سے ملاجو بہت قدیم زمانے کا تھا ۔ سافر اس مجسمے کی دو ٹانگوں کو بیان کر تا ہے کہ دھڑ سے نہیں نجری ہوئی ۔ ان ٹانگوں کے قریب اس مجسمے کا ٹوٹا ہوا چہرا پڑا ہوا ہے ، جو آدھا ریت میں ڈوبا ہوا ہے اس مجسمے کے چہرے کے تاثرات ، ماتھے کے بل ، بجھریوں والے ہونٹ ۔ بار عب مفر در تمسخر ۔ اس سے ظاہر ہو تا ہے که مجسمه ساز اس شخص کے جذبات کو صحیح سمجھا ہے یہ جذبات مجسمہ سازے مجسے میں ہمیشہ کے لیے زندہ کر دیے ہیں ۔ چہرے کو بناتے وقت مجسمہ ساز کے ماہر ہاتھوں نے وہ جذبات پتھر میں امر کر دیے ہیں ۔ مسافر مجسمے کی بنیاد میں لکھے ہوئے الفاظ کو بیان کر تاہے کہ وہاں لکھا ہوا ہے اوزی مینڈیاس ، ’ ’ بادشاہوں کا بادشاہ ‘ ‘ دیکھو یہ سب میں نے تعمیر کیا ہے یہ میری کامیابیوں کی برتری اور عمدگی ہے ۔ جبکہ وہاں اس علاقے میں باقی کچھ بھی بچا ہوا نہیں جو کچھ اس نے بنایا تھاسب خاک میں مل چکا تھا جس سے وہ بے خبر تھا ۔ اس نظم کا مرکزی خیال یہ ہے کہ طاقت عارضی ہے یہ ہر وقت انسان کے پاس نہیں رہتی ۔ حکمران کتنا ظالم و جابر کیوں نہ ہو ۔ اک دن فنا ہو جاتا ہے اس کا غرور خاک میں مل جاتا ہے ۔
